excellence.
This will be a series of 14 articles on the excellence in
ministry, business, and life. Let's
Get Started!!!!!
Challenge Scripture: 1
Corinthians 12:31 (NKJV) - "But earnestly desire the best[a] gifts. And yet I show
you a more excellent way."
The Message Bible says it very clearly in 1 Corinthians
12:27-31 - "You are Christ’s body—that’s who you are! You must never
forget this. Only as you accept your part of that body does your “part” mean
anything. You’re familiar with some of the parts that God has formed in his
church, which is his “body”:
apostles
prophets
teachers
miracle workers
healers
helpers
organizers
those who pray in tongues.
prophets

organizers
those who pray in tongues.
But it’s obvious by now, isn’t it, that Christ’s church is a
complete Body and not a gigantic, unidimensional Part? It’s not all Apostle,
not all Prophet, not all Miracle Worker, not all Healer, not all Prayer in
Tongues, not all Interpreter of Tongues. And yet some of you keep competing for
so-called “important” parts. But now I want to lay out a far better way
for you."
I love this passage of scripture in the Message Bible. It really
makes it clear that we are not all created to do the same thing, but we are all
required to do our assignment in a much better way.
Excellence is defined as
attention that gives birth to superior performance which causes maximized
potential, promotion in life and praise of the Lord.
Excellence Diamond Nuggets:
* You cannot aspire to that in which you have not been exposed to.
* Excellence always attracts.
* Excellence is not what you do, but who you are.
* Excellence must be pursued for the pleasure and praise of God.

* Excellence must be pursued for the pleasure and praise of God.
The desire and passion to develop and strive for excellence
must out-weigh the pain and discomfort cause by change, otherwise the attempt
to establish excellence will be aborted. To strive for excellence, you must
abandon all excuses for a mediocre ministry, business, or lifestyle.
Assignment:
1. How Do You Define
Excellence?
2. What areas of ministry, business, or life are you striving for excellence?

Minister Ginger or may I call you Ginger, those are great questions. For myself, excellence is doing the best I can and then some. It's going the extra mile at times when necessary and/or in order to achieve excellent. I love what you say here: "Excellence is not what you do, but who you are." :) <3
